Stretch Marks Removal |
|
Everyone hates having stretch marks. They show up on our skin due to hormone changes during phases in our lives. These hormonal shifts may be due to events such as pregnancy, major weight loss or gain, puberty, even weight lifting all may contribute to the formation of stretch marks.
Skin with stretch marks looks very different from normal skin, the hallmark red or white lines which streak across our skin stand out greatly. What’s strange is that skin with stretch marks looks almost identical to normal, healthy skin under a microscope. The damaged elastin fiber proteins in the skin only make up about 4% of skin, though the appearance is much more significant.
Fortunately new lasers, such as Fraxel and Affirm, can help diminish some of the textural problems with stretch marks. Call to schedule an appointment today to learn more about laser treatment for stretch marks.
